SAMSUNG 15.6” Galaxy Book2 Pro Laptop Computer

I buy top-end laptops and replace them every 2 years. I travel frequently so size and weight is at a premium. This is my 4th Samsung 15-inch laptop. My work is all keyboard and mouse-oriented – I have no need for a touchscreen, which adds weight (and thickness!) to any laptop.

I bought this laptop based on specs. DDR5, 16GB RAM i7, this computer is a monster, edited an entire animation project on it with no issues and rendered. A slim design with fantastic capabilities, I’ll take a little bit of fragility. Don’t abuse the machine and you’ll get fantastic performance out of it. Overjoyed with this monster of a laptop 2 in 1.

A chromebook is the way to go if you want to run Android Apps and the cloud is where you want to be. This is my second chromebook and the reason I am leaving the first is that it is still blazing fast, still has superior battery life, but is unsupported by google and receives no updates other than critical security patches. This machine will be supported until 2029 apparently.So here’s what I have found. The size is the same as my high end 14″ ThinkPad. Very very convenient size that will fit easily in a small duffel bag or backpack for travel. The keyboard is tight (like a 14″ laptop) but has big easy to use keys and the texture (lol) feels pretty good on the finger tips. It boots up and closes in seconds, still faster than an IBM Pc. Typical for a chromebook is that there is no delete key so the backspace gets double duty.What I especially like is the USB-C charging from either port and the slot for a memory card. The USB-C will also enable you to charge a phone or other device from the chromebook battery or the charger itself which saves you from having to carry multiple chargers for this machine and your phone. The camera is about average.The downside and what other less than 5 star reviews comment on is the quality of the display. It’s not very sharp and the viewing angle can be a little tricky.Overall this is a great value. I will be updating this review (for real) after I have about 6 months of use on it.

Great computer, great features, but we should have the option to remove pre install app like macaffe from the samsung app.The screen is very fragile, I had the computer only for about 6 months and i can see damages on the screen (my computer is on my desk most of the time, and I take the computer only 3 times-4 times a week to go to work so it’s fragile..). I guess this is the cost of doing a thin computer.It’s too bad because the computer is almost perfect.

I purchased this tablet to use around the house for watching Amazon Video, Netflix, playing games, checking email, browsing the internet and keeping an eye on my cameras outside my home.And it does all these things VERY well.NOTE: I did get the one with 256GB of memory which kicked the price up but I’m sure made a difference in performance.I previously had a Samsung 10.1″ tablet which worked better for eReading as it fit better in one hand but it was just a bit too small to prop up on a table, sit back and watch movies.The S7 FE is has a 12.4″ screen and is the perfect size to use around the house.If you plan on using it as a work “laptop” or running multiple graphics heavy applications you should probably look higher up the list of “performance” tablets.This tablet fits my needs perfectly.

After a lot of research I elected to go with this Samsung Book 2 Pro. Does everything I need it to do.

Awesome graphics, but not a touchscreen. It’s super thin and light, but it wobbles when you open the laptop with one hand. Also a fingerprint magnet on the cover, so you have to clean it with a cloth each time. I like the touchpad because it is very similar to a macbook, but not better obviously. Battery life is decent. Wouldn’t say it lasts long even if it has an average 9 hour battery life. I’m a college student and I use many apps, which is the reason why it goes down in about 7 hours. Sound system is nice. It’s loud and balanced, so not much bass felt there. Fingerprint button is as sensitive as a Samsung galaxy phone. No Windows Hello.

I have been using this tablet on a daily basis to study for the last 6 months. I use it for more than 5 hours everydayI think it is the best investment I have made in my life.It is cheaper than other tablets but offers excellent quality.It has a big and comfortable screen, but it is not heavy. The duration of the battery is mindblowing.Absolutely recommended

This laptop was purchased to edit large image files and works perfect for what I need. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend to anyone if the specs and price are a fit for you.

After 4 months, this Laptop is no longer outputting to the monitors and burns out any monitor you plug it into except tv’s. I tried buying new monitors and it still won’t output to the monitors then the monitors themselves no longer work with any other pc. A lot of problems with this laptop. Don’t get it here, buy from a better reputable seller.

It’s a great product and i absolutely love it, but they threw in a 20w charging adapter. So I’d also look at researching a new adapter incase this happens to you aswell.

I purchased this laptop on Aug 29 2022. It’s now Oct 31 2022. The screen blinks all the time now it has completely shut down. I have lost 2 month of work. Do not buy.

After searching for a good quality laptop I decided to take a chance and buy the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro at a very good price. I just received my new shiny toy today and I must say that I was amazed with how thin and light weight this larger size laptop is! Sitting on my lap I can barely feel its weight at all. Then after setting it up quickly, I was able to get down to business and test out its performance. It is blazing fast not only in running multiple applications, but also in loading websites with alot of graphics. The screen display is beautiful and crisp. I also own Samsung Note 20 and a Samsung tablet. So far I have only synced my phone with this laptop. As far as battery life, it has lasted me well over eight hours and I still have a few hours left. So I can work for many hours without having to charge this laptop. I also enjoy using the keyboard which boasts a full keypad, large track pad and backlighting which is a plus. Overall, I am very pleased with this Samsung laptop. Its a first for me to have purchased a laptop pc made by Samsung. I’m very happy that I did!

Really solid computer, can run Genshin Impact at 60 fps and doesn’t overheat! I’ve had no issues in the couple months that I’ve had it and I honestly can’t find any downsides. I can use an Xbox controller with it, wireless anything, a drawing tablet, a gaming mouse- everything without trouble. It’s great for gaming, school, and art, and it’s also super light and durable!

I love this new Samsung computer. It has everything I need in a computer, memory, graphics, portability, and also very important. A GOOD PRICE! My older computer was also a Samsung and was still operational but I wanted an upgrade.

This laptop is VERY light. When you have to lug a laptop around with you all the time, thus makes it so much easier. The frame is a bit flimsy, but it isn’t as bad as some reviews say. I rarely accidently click the TouchPad buttons. The operating system is also visually apealing and easy to navigate. Overall I am very pleased with this laptop.

Our non-profit received from an estate an amount of money for technology purposes. This laptop was one of the things we needed. It fits our needs, was very easy to set up, connect to our new printer, and the internet. This laptop will go on the road for presentations to senior facilities, schools, and our museum. I have yet to find a downside.

Fast, powerful, brilliant display, lightweight. Little difficult opening screen because so lightweight. Was concerned because it was refurbished, but all seems to be working fine. No scratches or anything. Amazon overpackaging was less than desirable though. Very large box with no bubble packing inside to protect and stabilize little computer box. But again, seems to be running ok and amazon gives 90 days for return. Very happy so far. Great price for capability. Was pleased with old Samsung that is 16 years old and still runs, though slow now browsing the internet. That’s why I upgraded. Will use old for travel now.

microphone did not work out of the box. tried everything and when it came to sending it for service, Samsund gave me crazy run around.Samsung has terrible customer service re Warranty. If you buy one of these, you better pray that nothing will go wrong with it.

Bought this laptop refurbished (looked brand new) and was having an issue with the battery. DNCL Techzone (specifically Joxie) went above and beyond to help resolve the issue. Great customer service.

For some reason my games I installed will not open. It just cut back to the home page.

Everything great. Battery seems pretty good, I think I can get 12 hours or it without full brightness.Only 4 starts because it does have little freezes. I think the higher memory version could be better

Overall the computer is good and what I ordered. However, the laptop does not have the touch screen feature which is upsetting.

Laptop is super lightweight to the point where it seems like one of those prop laptops you see in Ikea room set ups haha Other things I like are that it runs pretty fast with an SSD, it charges very quickly and battery lasts a SUPER long time, and the number pad is very useful.Otherwise some of the gripes I have with the laptop is that the touchpad is finicky and keeps on doing other functions when I’m just trying to scroll with two fingers and you have to hold down the Fn key in order to use setting buttons like screen brightness or volume (normally its the other way around where the settings are primary function on F1-12, on this laptop its secondary). Additionally, the webcam isn’t very high definition and a bit grainy.

This is my first non-Mac computer in 15 years, and all I can say is Apple lost my business for not making a 15″ MacBook Air. Hopefully some day in the near future. The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro is a wow machine though!!To have a like for like comparison I bought a MacBook Air (13.3″) and The Galaxy Book2 Pro (15.6″) together … and the 15.6″ Samsung is lighter than the 13.3″ MacBook Air!! Let that sink for a bit. The dog-eat-dog world has gotten so crazy that 15.6″ laptops have gotten lighter than 13.3″ Ultra-premium laptops!!! What a wonderful time to be alive :)About the Samsung Galaxy Book2Pro:The Pros:1. Great Display – Easily better than the MacBookAir (No, I don’t mean that the blacks are better, or picture is sharper. Just that a 15.6″ inch AMOLED display will any day blow away a 13.3″ inch Retina display. Not because is AMOLED is better than Retina, but that 15.6″ vs 13.3″ is a hump that you can not cross.2. Insanely light weight: This is perhaps the lightest laptop that I have handled. The fact that it is 15.6″ laptop is insane!3. Noise: I believe that there is a fan, however I have never heard it. So far I use it to Code – AI/ML and consume media (Hi-Def movies/Series)4. Keyboard and track-pad – High-quality keyboard and trackpad. I don’t click on the track-pad, but tap instead. That makes the experience ultra-premium and noiseless.5. Connections: While it is true that anyone plonking 4 figure $$ for a laptop, can also buy $20-$30 connectors, it does feel good to have a HDMI out built in along with 2 USB-Cs, 1 USB-A, and one micro-SD card. This an AHA moment – with the MicroSD card slot, you can expand your storage by orders of Terabytes as Micro-SD cards become increasingly cheaper.The meh:1. Battery life: – I am not one to drain my battery life entirely or reduce brightness to reduce recharge frequencies. As such I see that I have to recharge at the end of 8-9 hours. Not majorly complaining, but I would say that it will worsen with age.The Bad:1. The Stickers: It is down-right fugly when there are stickers on your laptop. I have one for energy star and one for Intel Evo. I wish these things would stop on Windows laptops.2. The speakers: I cant really hear a difference in loudness as compared to my MacBook Air, but these speakers are not very loud.3. The Hinge: The screen hinge wobbles (ever so slightly). It remains set once the angle screen angle is fixed, but I was disappointed to find screen-wobble, having come from the Mac-world.Overall – Is this a MacBook killer? – Depends. You can get a fully souped-up MacBook Air – 8 Core CPU and 8 Core GPU, 16GB Ram and 1 TB SSD for $1650 (at the time of writing). The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro costed me about $1150. While the MacBook Air is fan-less, and will have more power and battery life – It will always be heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro, and have a smaller screen, not to mention $500 more expensive. That is what it comes down to. I am going to keep this laptop, since as of now Apple has nothing to compete in the 15″ ultra-light, ultra-premium laptop space.

I am not an Android guy. Although I am always fascinated by Android devices and products. I have owned quite a few Chinese knock-offs and a few Xiaomi brand phones but nothing ever lasted. In retrospect, I didn’t give them much of a chance. I am an Apple guy. I love Mac and Apple products. What I don’t like? The price. What I do like? The quality. Apple has maintained quality products for some time. I’ve had many iPhones, iPads, Mac Pros, Macbook Pros, Macbooks, Mac minis, and iMacs. Our whole office here in Ghana is on mac. Why? Reliability and longevity. Ok, so I’ve got the fanboying out the way, on to the subject of this post.Why did you buy this thing?Well, simply put, on one of my trips back to the US earlier this year, my 13″ Macbook Pro died and I needed a replacement. I loved the 13″ size for going back and forth to the office and it was a good “beater” laptop. I have a loaded 16″ Macbook Pro that I prefer to keep in pristine shape for editing video and graphics. I figured let’s try the 12.4″ tablet and see if it can handle what I am throwing at it.I LOVE THIS TABLET.I am typing on it right now for this post. I was skeptical of having an Android tablet after having a few knock-offs and bad experiences with them, but this thing just keeps getting better. The only downside? No iMessaging or integration of Mac apps. I can live without that. In fact, it has me wondering if I should switch all of my note-taking, list-making, and stuff to Google apps.SpeedThis thing is fast. I’m not just talking fast, I’m talking lighting fast. I am constantly shocked at how responsive and quick everything is. Websites load fast, apps load without hesitation, and streaming is a joy. With the Qualcomm SM7225 Octa-Core processor, this thing delivers. My kids use iPad devices for streaming and sometimes school. My son has one of the later models of the regular iPad. This Samsung tab smokes it. I mean trail of fire smokes it.ScreenThe screen on this device is one of the best I’ve ever seen or used. I’m serious. I like it better than the iPads I own. It’s clear, and crisp and the 4K video looks incredible on it. Let’s put it this way, I’d rather watch Netflix on this tablet than on my 16″ Macbook Pro. Even when viewing bad or old footage on YouTube, I’ve found the quality is amazing. I’m not sure what they’re doing over there at Samsung but they better keep doing it. If you don’t believe me, go find one on display at a store. You’ll be a believer quickly. Even with fingerprints of my own and my kids, this thing is still crisp and clear. For what it’s worth, I do not put on-screen protectors on my devices. I don’t like the loss of clarity and function with screen protectors.Battery LifeI have yet to have this thing die on me. Granted I don’t use it enough to kill the battery. Even after two days of not being on the charger, it was still at 60%. I couldn’t believe it. Time will tell how long that lasts but if it’s this good to start with I don’t feel worried about that at all. Maybe when I fly again back to the States I’ll test how long it lasts on a flight.AccessoriesWith this tablet, I bought the Amazon suggested keyboard and case made by Fintie. For all intents and purposes, it’s not a bad case. Do I wish I had bought the Samsung keyboard and case? Sure. But the cost was a bit high and I didn’t think it was a deal-breaker on the tablet. The Fintie case works well enough and offers a few options for pen storage. I do like that the tablet came with a tablet pen which is a good selling point, even if you don’t use it.ConclusionAll in all, this tablet is a winner. The screen alone is worth the price but as an added bonus the speed just feels unmatched. If I had to go back and choose again, I’d likely choose it again. If you’re an Apple person, like I am, this is a worthy device to add to your arsenal.

The AMOLED screen is fantastic. The device is so slim and light it is a pleasure to use and carry around. I wish the pen had a storage slot but the device is so slim that there’s really a place for it. The keyboard is good to type on and the included fingerprint scanner for login is a great security convenience.Overall a great purchase and would recommend this 2-in-1. This is my second one purchased for the family and I use Surface products professionally and these meet and exceed those in certain aspects and are a great home use machine. The only thing missing in comparison is a solid docking option like the Surface range but, there are a ton of USB C dock options that can help you drive 2 screens and attach all of your peripherals.

Nothing works on this laptop due to corrupted OS. It won’t even allow me to fix the issue. I can’t even reset it. Nothing.

I previously owned Dells for the past 20 years and lately thier laptops have been underwhelming. I own Samsung TVs, phone, sound bars, washer and dryer with zero issues occurring in performance. I am so glad I purchased the laptop. It had quick startup, zero lag… even with macafee virus software. The battery retention is good as well. This is the best laptop I’ve purchased to date and the price was exceptionally satisfying on Amazon. I saved $400 in price comparison on other sites.

It is great value for money but it has one huge flow and that is chassi flex. You can not simply operate it while laying back and having laptop on lap because it flex back and presses touchpad from bottom and makes click on it … While operating on table there is no issue but having it on lap is huge problem. My wife has LG Gram and that has much better chassis ….

I bought this laptop for my graphic design, and I’ve only had it for a week. It’s very sleek, thin, and attractive. It’s a huge upgrade from my last laptop, at least on paper, but it has some issues.Battery life is really poor. I can be on the laptop for an hour or two, leave it closed, come back several hours later, and the battery will be dead. So it has excessive battery consumption when it’s idle.When I first turned the computer on and was getting it set up (so, setting computer preferences, setting up browsers, setting up anti-virus software) it started overheating 10 minutes in. And when this laptop overheats, I am talking HOT. It will burn if you touch the bottom. That’s happened several more times since.Aside from that, it is a really nice thin, light laptop, and it usually runs okay.Overall, I would say that the positive features balance out the negative to make this laptop an underwhelming “fine.”

I think I would have liked this very much but I had to have a good case. There were plenty available but none would allow you to switch to tablet mode without removing the case. That was a total deal breaker for me.

In love with the laptop, but i am not arguing its the best laptop for everyone.I bought this laptop during Blackfriday of 2021. I had 3 choices back then Xps 13 for $650 , 128gb version of Surface laptop 4 for $699 , the 13.6 inch version of this laptop at $699 and this one for $749.For me the most important things for my laptop were 1) extremely lightweight as I travels a lot 2) the best possible screen 3)without compromising performance .The reason why i opted this laptop over other choices are 1) 128gb ssd on surface can be extremely problematic in the long run, this one comes with 4x the ssd size, also surface came with a Ryzen processor, even though pretty much comparable to i5 11 we have here i have a personal preference for intel, however i still think surface have a better screen , but i dont trust the touch screens much when it comes to life. 2) The only real advantage over xps 13 is the Amoled screen, 3) i eventually went for 15.6 inch purely because the price went down from $749 to $600 while the price for 13.6 remained at 699.I wish to mention that similar version of LG gram was also being sold around the price of $750 during that time. I have seen one of those and the back of screen fluxes in and out if you press. For Samsung its more rigid on top, but do have little bit flexing on the bottom.ps: It looks like a very fragile laptop and needs extra care while handling . I am an extremely light user , so I dont really know how well the laptop can dissipate heat when handling prolonged high end use. I have a galaxy phone, so the Samsung note app and Quickshare were extremely pleasant surprises and are extremely useful.

This is a nice low cost chromebook. I think that that screen is fine considering it’s low cost. It does not have keyboard backlighting which can be found on some hp models at around the same price. I picked it up as a cheap complement to my galaxy book go. It’s basically just okay. I have not had it long enough to comment on its reliability. I’ll upload a followup review in the future.
