It’s cheap because the graphics card isn’t going to let you play any modern game. Other than that it’s fine. I check the requirements for anything you want to use this computer for and see what that program requires for graphics.

One of the keys came off the day I got it and the camera doesn’t work. It also has an extremely short warranty period of about six weeks. DON’T PURCHASE!!

So far this computer is serving me well. I wish it had a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader, but I was aware it wasn’t included. If I were to complain about anything, it would be the weight. It is very heavy!

A VERY good budget PC. I bought this for my wife who plays casual games and just needed a new PC for general use, video streaming, etc. I certainly recommend this, because the price is just too good to beat. Note that I did buy an additional 8 GB of Ram and another SSD to compliment it. We haven’t had any issues.Something that surprised me was how light weight and small it was. It’s also very quiet when I was doing benchmarks. If you’re looking for a entry level gaming PC and/or a PC for general use, then this is a great buy in my opinion.

I liked the keyboard & the picture quality is awesome. I’m got it in hopes of finding a part time work at home job. Lightweight and very sleek looking. Screen blinks off & on when booted up but shutting it down and powering back up seems to stop that

Runs Valorant at 165fps+ on 1440p at med settings.Runs Elden Ring at 45fps on 1440p at med settings – 90fps+ on 1080p at med settings.Upgraded the ram (2666mhz) to 32gb. Was very easy.Haven’t needed to put a new SSD in it yet, but it should be fairly easy as well.WORTH THE MONEY. Will need to upgrade power supply to upgrade graphics card though.

i got this pc in september, and i got 4 hd and its own ssd running along with my external dvd player, a game controller, and flight joystick with extra usb hub. it runs great no issues but to give you a higher performance buy 32 gb of ram cause i did and it runs everyhting at ultra settings and smooth. plays microsoft flight simulator 2020 with ultra setting at 1920 v 1080,and it runs smoothly and no lag at least for me. it ram cost me under $90, and was well worth it. its 3d mark averages 4935 great according to 3d mark bench mark. 32 gb makes it fly ay all tasks and games. i even overclocked the gpu and it runs everything easily at ultra settings. it doesnt overheat and quiet its just a good gaming pc without breaking your pocket. buy and the ram youll be happy with it.

I’ve only had this for a week so this is very preliminary. But observations so far …Boots very fast, much faster than my old laptop (which is about 5 years old now). Works beautifully with my external monitor, just plugged it in with an HDMI cable and it worked. Works beautifully with an external drive. Again, just plugged it in and it worked. I got the 1 TB drive which is a ridiculous amount of space. I ported everything from my old computer — which is over 20 years worth of accumulated data, ported from computer to computer — installed a bunch of software, and it all came to 103 GB. Also connected to my home wifi network no problem, and I installed my printer driver and that’s worked first time no problem. It comes defaulting to the Documents folder being under OneDrive, which I found a super pain. I have way more data than the free 5 GB and I don’t intend to pay for more, I’d rather just back up to an external drive myself. Maybe this will prove foolish if the drive fails and I’ve neglected backups — we’ll see. But I’m getting slews of error message about exceeding my 5 GB, I’ve got to figure out how to turn that off. The setup process also forced me to create an account with Microsoft which, well, why?It only has 2 USB ports, which I find limiting. I routinely plug in a trackball, which leaves me just one port. I wanted to copy some data from an external hard drive to a USB stick, and … I was out of ports. I bought a USB hub, and that’s the one device that seems to have trouble playing nice with this HP. I don’t know if that’s the fault of the hub, the laptop, or me doing something stupid.Minor quible: The page up/down keys are far away from the cursor control keys, which I find awkward.

I needed a workhorse computer for working on documents, paying bills, emails, social media, etc. No gaming or engineering software or anything crazy like that. This computer was at a good price point and had good reviews, so I bought. It came yesterday, I spent a few hours getting it all set up. I love the 1 TB storage. Microsoft “S Mode” was new to me, once I learned I couldn’t use Adobe, Chrome or Google Earth with it, that was a no-go for me, so I switched out of it. Switching was not hard to do. I installed my favorite softwares and they all work fine. Speed is fine, even for large file transfers. It came with 1 month free of MS Office, then it’s $99.99 per year after that (ugh but I will pay it cause they have you in a corner on this one). The screen is larger than I anticipated. The default screen resolution was way too small for me. I had to do some adjusting to get the super tiny print a little larger. I was able to connect to a bluetooth printer and my home network with no issues. I still haven’t lost connectivity a day later. The keyboard is not backlit (doesn’t bother me), there is a number pad on the right-hand side (nice to have). The power button is a keyboard key, up above the backspace…thought that was weird but hasn’t been an issue once I found it. My last comment…because of how big the screen is, this won’t fit in my old laptop bag, so I’ll have to buy a new bag – I didn’t factor that in to my purchase price, wish I could have anticipated that. Otherwise, a great buy and has met all my expectations.

Does everything well that I expected it to do (having had it for two days). Only regret is not purchasing a refurbished unit with a fresh install. After upgrading to Windows 11 and all the updates the SSD is half full/empty with all the bloatware that I have no use for.

I got an HP Pavilion in 2016 or 2017 that I’ve been using reliably for years. Finally it got to the point where I needed an upgrade because it was getting too slow for me to do simple tasks or use for my work (teaching). I figured this would be a good upgrade but already I’m a little disappointed by how slow it’s already behaving and I’ve only had it for two days. However, I think I recall my original HP Pavilion being a little “slower” than the other models when I purchased it years ago so I guess it is to be expected. You can’t really beat that price!

Came quickly and in good condition. It would have been a breeze to install windows if Microsoft hadn’t tried to block you from installing another browser (Chrome). This computer came with windows 10S. There is a way to get rid of the S, you have to go U Tube and they show you. One of the programs it gave me a problem with was Facebook, it said Microsoft didn’t support it. Once we got rid of the S it went in and works fine. This is disturbing for the fact of how dare anyone tell you what you can download or install in your computer just because it’s their window program.

Purchased this to surf the web and play some web games. This laptop has a 4 core, 4 thread processor, which does the job, but is slow. Touch screen works great, the touch pad in front of keys works well. Has enough ports and also blue tooth so I connect a wireless mouse. Battery only lasts around 4 to 4 1/2 hours and the unit gets very warm on the bottom, as there are no vents for cooling. Lots of bloat ware, but can be upgraded to Windows 11. The laptop is small & lightweight so it fits anywhere for traveling. Overall 4 stars.

This computer is exactly what I was looking for, it has decent ram and is easy to use, it also has a backlit keyboard which is great. The battery runs down relatively quickly, probably in about 4 to 5 hours depending on how many apps are being used and whether the keyboard is lit. Over all a great computer but if you need to do work for an extended period of time with no access to an outlet then it isn’t for you.

Earlier I gave bad review not knowing the laptop just needed to be charged the power button works fine. I barely use it I use my mobile phone more for everything. I didn’t understand why I would be having issues if it’s practically new and still had battery when I used it few days ago. My husband helped me find the charger, I plugged it in and pressed power button and boom turned right on. If anyone decides to purchase, you WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED.

This laptop is exactly what I wanted it to be. Easy to setup and it seems pretty fast for a low/mid teir laptop and for the price it meets or exceeds what I want to use it for. Seems to process pretty quickly and the screen quality is HD. It’s NOT touchscreen which I’m fairly certain the description said it was, but the actual quality of the screen seems fine. If you are looking in this price point it is worth the money. I did notice though that the bottom seemed to get pretty hot where the fan is while I was giving it its first full charge. I wouldn’t really say it is an issue just will need to be mindful of it in the future. The color is as described and it is beautiful.

First, it came a week before it was scheduled to come which was AWESOME because I just became a real estate agent and I needed something fast. I was very attracted to the red it look so sexy and sleek and the keyboard is very finger friendly. I purchased the racing car mouse from Amazon as well I thought it would be a cute accent. Overall Both Products were awesome buys that i would recommend to people who are looking for something durable but affordable. PS i upgraded my LT to 16 Rams from 4 Rams which the company sent me instructions on how to check for myself and how to uninstall s mode. So yes you guys purchasing this product is a WIN😁😁😁

*Edit: In order to upgrade this laptop, you can remove the bottom rubber feet strips, unscrew about 7 screws, carefully pry the casing open, and install an 8 or 16GB DDR4 2400 or 2666Mhz memory stick. It seem to run, but at 2400Mhz. SSD is non-upgradeable*CPU Performance is about in line with a Core i3 8130U, or Core M 5y10 CPU.GPU performance is about 10% slower than the 5y10, and 33-50% slower than the i3 8130u, due to dual channel memory vs single channel on the N5000 (these integrated graphics use RAM for VRAM, and dual channel mode is a lot faster than single channel). What are the cons?1- The laptop comes from the factory with Windows S; a slimmed down version of the full fledged Windows, that allows only downloads from the store.Microsoft allows you to upgrade (for free) to Windows 10 Home (64 bit) edition, in case you need compatibility with exe/msi programs.2- Should you upgrade, you’ll notice a few drawbacks.- The upgrade is 8.2GB in size. The installation procedure takes a few hours.- After the update about 50% of the SSD space is now used, and the computer starts feeling more sluggish.- When installing any browser, the memory is maxed out, and without a swap, out of memory errors occur. With a swap, the device becomes even slower. While not a device fault, windows will use up a Hibernation.sys, Swap, and page file, totaling about 4GB; the hibernation and swap file can be disabled, but at the cost of system crashes under heavy use.If you don’t know much about computers, it’s recommended to stick with the stock Windows S.3- Slow SSD.4- Has a full size SD cardslot. Nowadays microSD cards are more often used. The SDcard is also hanging out of the laptop by about 1/4″.5- The screen, though very good in contrast, resolution (1080p full HD), brightness, and viewing angles; and doesn’t really discolor at a wider angle, is a glossy screen that easily reflects back light. It also is not perfectly white, but slightly reddish in tint.Perfectly ok to watch movies or do work on. But no reference screen for photo editing!6- The keyboard is missing a pause/break and scroll lock button. And the keys are rather close fit together (the keyboard is a 90-95% size). It takes a while, to get used to.The keys do type well, and has a great response.7- The Iris 600 UHD 605 graphics chipset is very modern and good for DX9 games While using much faster DDR4 memory, it still lacks performance, due to only having 18 EUs; vs 24 on the Core M 5y10; and the CPU only supports single channel RAM .Older DX9 @ 1080p games play fine, DX11 games at 480-600 pixels get about 20-30 fps.8- You’ll have to manually update the graphics and bluetooth drivers from the HP website (or run 6 months old drivers from Windows update).CPU temperatures can be lowered, by installing some thermal tape between the cooling solution and the case,Result:One can get the full Windows working, with no crashes, without the need for a hibernation or swap file; and overall have about 20-30GB left on the SSD, by doing a RAM upgrade to 8 or 16GB, and disabling the SWAP and Hibernation files, and installing most software on the (slower) SD card;Or, for faster disk access applications, get a Corsair Voyager GTX USB drive, which is faster (and potentially larger) than the internal SSD.Edit: Please be aware that the USB type C connector is running on a USB 2.0 bus, with speeds of under 25MB/s, 500mA.See picture for internal SSD, SD card slot, and USB3.1 (Corsair GTX) benchmark speeds.***EDIT: I lowered the score, after I found out the laptop’s CPU does not offer sufficient cooling. Both under GPU or CPU only load testing, will bring the die to 70C, and throttle CPU speed to 1Ghz (or less; the GPU frequency isn’t recognized by my testing program). This thermal throttling will be a lot worse when both CPU and GPU are used, and cause severe FPS drops (50% fps drop or more). Also, the CPU supports 2 channel RAM, but only one channel socket is installed, resulting in ~30% reduced graphics and CPU performance on apps that depend on memory speed.***

This review is for “Newest HP Premium High Performance Business Flagship Laptop PC 14″ HD LED-Backlit Display Intel Pentium N5000 4GB DDR4 RAM 64GB eMMC Bluetooth Windows 10 S” model 14-df0013cl.I don’t think you’ll find a better mid-sized notebook at a better price. The display is great and has very narrow (0.265″) vertical bezels. It’s readable at 100% scaling at 1920×1080 if you have good eyes. It also looks great at 125% and 150%. Very sharp with no blurring or jagged edges. (Be sure to log out and log back in after switching the scaling value for the best image quality.) Viewing angles and color reproduction are much better than on the VA and SVA panels usually used on cheap laptops. Because of the narrow bezels, the total width of the laptop is closer to a 13.3″ machine. The N5000 CPU does a good job with regular surfing and office productivity. It feels much snappier than the N3xxx or Atom CPUs usually found in this price range. I wouldn’t recommend it for gaming or video editing or creative work but it handles all the consumer activities I’ve tried. Plays 1080p content without breaking a sweat, it easily handles a dozen browser tabs, apps open quickly and run smoothly. The eMMC storage is faster than any of the older machines I have with eMMC. Reads and writes run around 275/110 MB/s.A nice feature of the low-power CPU is that it doesn’t need active cooling. There’s no fan so you don’t have to worry about keeping the vents clear and it’s totally silent. There are vents but they’re for configurations with more powerful CPUs that require active cooling. The speakers are surprisingly good. They do a fine job with Youtube, Netflix, and video chat. The sound quality puts a couple of my old 17″ laptops to shame.Battery life is pretty good. I got over 7 hours of video playback over wifi on default power settings before the first battery warning popped up with 15% left. That could probably be improved by adjusting the power settings and lowering the screen brightness. It’s not the thinnest or lightest laptop in the world but it has a good array of full sized ports. I’d rather have the full sized HDMI, USB-A, and ethernet ports than shave off a few mm in thickness. The USB-C port is a nice touch but it would be more useful if it supported displayport alt-mode. If it did, it could be used to hook up a full USB-C docking station. If you’re hoping to add a hard drive or SSD, you’re out of luck. There’s no M.2 socket. There’s a space that fits a 2.5″x7mm hard drive but there’s no port to connect it. There are traces labeled HDD where the socket would go but the socket isn’t there. I assume they include the socket on some versions because they sell models with different storage configurations, including spinning hard drives. While it can be upgraded to 8 gigs of RAM, it only supports one module. The traces for a second socket are on the board but, again, there’s no socket. You can replace the single 4 gig module with an 8 gig module but there’s no way to get dual channel memory. (8 gigs is the maximum supported by the CPU.) The upgrade is worth it if you like to have a ton of browser tabs open or a lot of apps open. Search for 14-df0013cl on Youtube.
