ugg! I could have bought this from a few different vendors, some the same price bust shipped faster or was less expensive. However they all said ships with Windows 11S. I got this one because it said Windows 11 home. not “S”! now i am billing a client to remove “S”.

Over the years, I’ve bought other brands. Never was I satisfied with them. Dell has NEVER disappointed me. I’m up to three Dells. There is no “farmer in my Dell”. Smiles……….

I purchased 3 laptops in November 2021. 2 of the 3 laptops have had to be sent to Dell because I was sold (allegedly) brand new laptops that didn’t have a Dell hard drive. The laptops stopped working and stated that I didn’t have a hard drive.

Slowest computer I’ve ever owned. Every single thing seems to take longer on this computer. Just getting it to boot up so that I can log in, getting it to give me the box to put in my password just to get to the desktop, opening any program or app, whatever it is it takes so much longer on this computer. I’ve had a Dell once before and thought it was OK–not great, not horrible, but OK. I was going to go with another brand when I bought this one, but it seemed like you got a lot for the money with this laptop. But I’ll never buy a Dell again.

Love the way the computer looks and operates, but the battery live is very low. Pretty disappointed

You get what you pay for…the laptop screen and back material (plastic) disintegrated from normal use. Dell Technical support team was very helpful for warranty coverage and replaced the screen cover in a timely manner.

I’ve had this piece of junk for two days and it is just that; JUNK! Not happy at all with this purchase.

I really like this computer it’s everything I wanted for my business. And I really wanted to give it 5 stars!!! But the battery life is absolutely horrible. Just being on it for a few hours a day completely drains it.

First order of business. Adjust hinge tension. If you can’t open it with 1 hand, it’s too tight. There’s a great video on YouTube called Dell inspiron hinge calibration. Mine lasted less than 6 months before the plastic broke. Thankfully the screen was unharmed. I was able to repair it with the super glue – Baking soda trick.Otherwise, it’s a great laptop.

The 2021 Newest Dell Inspiron 3000 Laptop that I bought is a good computer and I am enjoying using it. However, I was a little disappointed that it was advertised as being a Touchscreen computer. It wasn’t. I am pretty content with the product so I didn’t send it back. The only reason I wanted to write a review is to warn other potential buyers that this product may not be what you are looking for.

Received exactly what I ordered and was delivered one day earlier than expected. They also added an additional 128GB drive for free with the ordered 1TB HD. No problem with the setup.

It arrived in NIB condition, still has another 8 months on the Dell warranty, and worked flawlessly out of the box.One note: The description says it’s the model 3953, but it’s actually a 3511. That’s an even better system, so thanks for the free upgrade! (The “3511” was confirmed both by Dell support tag lookup, and linux dmesg.)If you’re going to be installing non-Windows on it, be sure to use the “BIOS” menu then disable Intel RST and set the SDD to be “AHCI” mode. It’s one click to do it, and one click to save it.WOULD BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!

This computer starts up very quickly. That’s a good thing because it seems to restart frequently because of “unforseen problems”. This has been a little irritating, but I hope it resolves itself eventually.Update: The first one of these laptops I got was glitchy. I asked for a replacement and Amazon sent me one immediately. This new laptop is a great machine for the price.

I purposely included the word touchscreen in the title because it is a “touchscreen” laptop. I’ve seen some confusion about that in some of the comments. This is a “touchscreen” laptop. I purchased the brand-new version. Used ones are being sold. I bought the new computer. Now be-clear: this is a highly exceptional deal. Value for the money in my opinion is beyond comparison. 16 GB of ram, 128 SSD Drive with one terabyte of HDD, touchscreen tablet, 15.6 inch screen – this is an amazing deal for the price. It’s fast, very very very fast. That’s because of the 16 GB of RAM and the SSD drive. If you don’t know about SSD drive, you want that. It makes the computer Boot up much faster. This computer actually has two hard drives. It uses the SSD to Boot Up and store data, it’s a solid component and boot up is amazingly fast it also has 1 TB HDD This computer will last me a very long time. Before I made my purchase I had looked at (I.e., studied for months ) several different Dell laptops. I have an older Dell laptop, it needed replacing. It did not qualify gor Windows 11 upgrade and was getting slower by the hour. For the speed, the ram, the duel drives, and all of the storage this compares verifiably to the XPS class of dell computer. This laptop comes with Windows 10, but upgrades to Windows 11 upon setup. Computer will remind you to run all the updates for the Dell computer. Once the computer is set up you will see a prompt make sure you run them. Anyway, I strongly recommend purchasing this computer. This is an excellent price for a very very very good computer. Frankly, this is a steal. I’m not a Dell or Amazon employee – just an Amazon prime customer that’s very happy with this purchase of my new laptop. I highly recommend this computer. Once again, I bought the new laptop and not the used laptop.

I bought this laptop for my wife to use for her online college courses. She was using a small Chromebook and watching her try to get anything done on that was just sad. This seemed like a reasonable deal so I ordered it. Once we got it unboxed and set up, I was a little disappointed in the overall speed of the computer. It was slooooooow as molasses going uphill in January. My wife kind of side eyed me a bit as if to say “You really bought me a slower computer?” Anyway I did a little digging and found out there were some issues experienced by other users regarding software updates and driver updates. So I spent about an hour going through the process of updating those items. Honestly, after that I was surprised by how fast the computer ran. Tab to tab on the web browser (Chrome) it took only a second or two to load. My wife said it was perfect after that point. So my advice is if you buy this particular laptop, take some time on your initial setup and update the drivers/operating system. It’s working like a champ now.

Easy setup. I am not a computer person and primarily use one just for internet shopping and correspondence. My very old Lenovo allowed me to take a shower and eat breakfast while waiting for it to open a program. Once in a while I could catch a good night’s sleep while waiting. I simply did not want to spend the money for a new computer. Why did I wait so long? I am totally enjoying this new laptop! While I do minimal work on this device, I know it would be suitable for much more extensive use. You’ll enjoy it!

Pretty good processor and Dell quality. Added some RAM and it’s just what I need. I was at right place at right time to get a great deal on the price.

This came with Windows 10 S Mode not Windows 10 Home like it reads in the description. I would not have purchased this had it been listed correctly. I’m having a audio driver issue and am not able to fix it because I can’t install 3rd party software (which the driver from Dell is) until I login with a Microsoft account and turn S Mode off. This is why I stay away from S Mode. Everything else about the laptop is fine, however.

I’ve always LOVED Dell Desktop computers. I’ve had several throughout many years. But I’d never heard anything about Dell laptops. Knowing that Dell makes the best desktops (in my opinion!), I decided to try the laptop. I couldn’t believe how fast I fell in love with this laptop. I’ve had it for over a month now, using it for several hours each day & I have only found 2 problems with it:The color on the display is dull. Not the correct colors. I mean, I don’t know the technical terms for all this, but it seems like the coloring that the display shows, is of low quality. It isn’t HDR so it’s kind of upsetting. I like to have brilliant color.The 2nd problem is the keyboard. The keys are cramped together so it’s hard for me to type because I have big fingers. I usually type 95 wpm but on this keyboard I make so many mistakes that it’s like I can’t type at all!! I’d like the keys more spread out. All laptops seem to have cramped keys, but this one is worse.But, even with those 2 annoyances, I LOVE THIS DELL LAPTOP!!! The price for it was unbelievable! I’m only going to buy Dell’s from now on. The customer service is Old School, which means they care. I will add to this in a couple of months so you can see that I will still love my Dell!!January 22, 2022 – I’ve had my Dell for almost 5 months now. Like I said, I STILL LOVE MY DELL!! I’m getting used to the keys a little bit but I bought a keyboard & attached it to my laptop & it works great. Like I said in my earlier review, Dell’s are the best desktop computers, & now I can honestly say that they make the best laptops too. It’s worth it to spend a little more because you’ll have your Dell for WAY longer than any other brand. Soooooo, to sum it all up, I LOVE MY DELL LAPTOP!!! LOLOL

Charging port was broken. Power button was sticky had to press multiple time to get it to power. Fans were extremely loud like they were clogged.Currently returning the laptop. May change my review once refunded.But this issue should have been caught if this is claimed to be refurbished

Really like this laptop so far. Haven’t had it but a weekEasy to set up.

Laptop runs fine. Microsoft is now forcing folks share either email or phone number and doesn’t ask if it’s ok to get your birth date, but rather forces you to share this, during setup. If you don’t comply, you won’t get past setup. Expect about an hour or two of annoying setup. If you misclick a single button when reading the paragraphs of information presented to you, you will be sending Microsoft your personal information. After set up, Microsoft has deployed a new s mode (assuming s stands for safety and not sneaky), which will make installing Chrome as a browser difficult to do. Essentially, you have to ‘disable’ S mode in order to not use Microsoft’s browser, as if Edge would be just so much more trustable after all the IE scandals this company had in the past – not even discussing the browser controversy of 1999. Even worse, when trying to disable S mode, you will be sent to the app store. There you will have to share another personal email in order to get into the app store and disable S mode. Essentially, Microsoft is trying to force people to use their own browser. Lastly, when all done with that 1 or 2 hour headache and setting up registration, Dell will prompt for the usual product info and of course have the ‘send you lots of marketing junk’ box checked. Just to continue the weird experience, McCaffee first one’s free is installed. We use Norton for our devices, so had to uninstall that.Now that all this annoyance and mine hopping is completed, the response time on the laptop itself will do: about as fast as machines were 6 years ago before most of the cheaper machine models got really, really slow (probably due to all the add-on junk the vendors are defaulting on their users). Still haven’t figured out how to turn off annoying suggestive to buy things Windows 10 pop-ups, which remind me of the ad-ware one used to get on the old school machines when installing say personal tax software. That said, I’m sure shutting that feature off is a step away.We are clearly heading to a world where Centos or Ubuntu are going to take over.

Good value and fairly easy setup. Did have to turn off the Microsoft “S’ security to download non-Microsoft apps such as Firefox and Adobe.

I’ve only used for a few days but there are things that I’m very unimpressed with. I bought Dell because we use them a work and I like it. This unit feels very cheap to me, including the mouse pad clicking, it actually feels like a kids toy. I’ve had a Toshiba for years that feels much more substantial then this one, I hope I end up being happy with it, right now….not so much.

Extremely slow out of the box, brand new. Takes too long to open and close programs ect. Only buy this if you have extra time each day to wait on it.

This Dell laptop is a very speedy computer with the intel I-5 chip, 512 SSd and 1 terabyte hard drive. I can not find any fault with it. It replaced an older lenova laptop.I would buy it qgain

I bought this lap top because I already had a Dell Inspiron 3558 that I liked. I like this one as well although I have not been able to adjust screen brightness and high contrast in order to see the screen well without having to push the screen way back particularly with one application. Also, if you buy this from a third party such as Amazon, you will have to transfer ownership before anyone at Dell will even acknowledge you. I am presently continuing to have a horrible time trying to accomplish this. While I have had good experience with Dell in the past, I am very frustrated with them presently.
