I am a senior citizen and use my laptop to store files and and transfer photos to thumb drives for storage. I do surf the net for entertainment, but I’m not a gamer. Product arrived in excellent condition and is perfect for my use.

Bought this for my business as the ones I have bought in the past have worked well. The medical assistants like it better than the chrome book computers. Good battery life and quality.

The display quality is great. This is not only opinion, I took some measurements. The contrast ratio is over 1800:1! Most consumer tier computer monitors strive to get 1000:1, and cheap laptops are usually worse, (I have one about 580:1). The sRGB gamut coverage measured about 96%, which is close enough for your eyes to accept as full. This display is objectively excellent for LCD and is absolutely unbelievable for a laptop of this price. It is light and one of the only laptops I’ve had other than a Macbook Air that can actually be used as a laptop. Like, you could sit with it in your lap and use it and be comfortable. Your neck might get sore, but that’s not their problem. The touchpad is one of the best I’ve used on a laptop that wasn’t a Macbook other than the tactile response requires pressing too hard. That makes it difficult to use it for dragging items around in folders, or sizing windows, because you’re grinding the surface while trying to move your finger. Maybe I just haven’t caught on.The SSD upgrade is not explained anywhere easily found. I installed a Samsung that I already owned and the device wouldn’t recognize it. On the Chuwi forums some users were struggling with the same issue and it seems it needs to be a specific type (M2 2280 – not just M2 whatever – I think). Again it could just be me, but I would like it clearly defined somewhere. I have another one on order but with no feeling of certainty that it will work.

I am a Developer/IT Administrator and am a big fan of Lenovo and Dell laptops. This laptop is just a notch below similar laptops from Lenovo and Dell but at 1/6 of the price. While the laptop only supports 8GB of RAM, it is more than enough RAM for browsing, Office, and development. If you need more power or RAM, just remote into your server or gaming PC. There are two M.2 SSD slots (not NVME). One slot is easily accessible by removing one screw and a small cover, and the other requires removing several screws and the screws under the rubber feet. I used rubber contact cement to glue the feet back on after adding a second drive (4TB of SSD total). The display is surprisingly good. Very clear, sharp, and a very fine DPI for such a small screen. Despite the fine DPI and high resolution, everything looks clear and sharp even without my glasses on, YMMV.Linux is supported. I dual boot Windows 10, Windows 11, and Debian Bullseye. Kernel 6 is supported and seems to have made the laptop even snappier.I cannot believe this laptop is less than $300. It performs as well as my Lenovo X1 Carbon 10th Gen that I paid over $1800 for, plus this laptop has a better display!10/10 Highly recommended for those looking for an affordable light weight, snappy, 13.1 inch laptop. Perfect for most students, office work, and developers.

The body is made of aluminum, which feels higher quality than the best windows laptops I’ve used. The computer is really fast without heat and fan noise. It’s such a delight to someone who, long ago surrendered that performance = fan noise. Thank you Apple for making the cooling fan obsolete! I normally use 32gb of Ram on Windows and do great with 8gb of Ram on the M1. As a life long Windows user, I recommend you try this laptop. You will truly be shocked by its performance.

Got an exceptionally good price, Have used Lenovo before, and I’m not a big fan of not having a removable battery, However low price made me get over that.Lots of gee whiz features, touch screen is a very nice feature, especially as I use it on a two screen set up.As noted by other reviewers, screen resolution leaves something to be desired, but I’m not a game so don’t really care – looking at docs on a 26″ screed addresses that problem. At this price point, I think it is a really good deal.

This M1 replaces a 2015 MacBook Air. It’s actually the second M1 Air in our family (I bought a refurbished one earlier this year to replace a retiring 2012 Air), and at $799 for the 8 GB RAM / 256 GB SSD model is an insanely great value. Some of the other recent reviews mentioned a musty odor and speculated these had been in storage or previously used. There was a slight musty or chemical odor when the box was opened, but upon checking carefully I found the smell originated from the included printed materials, NOT the computer itself or the packaging. There was absolutely no sign of mold, moisture, or dampness in the box, the sealed packaging, or the laptop.Installing and running a utility showed this Air was assembled in August 2022 and had so far logged no battery cycles. It’s a new M1 Air, not old stock. (The 2020 date in the description is the year the M1 Air model was introduced, not when this computer was made.)

computer looks beautiful so far. I was very concerned about the power plug because poor power plug design can easily lead to failures and breakages… and the power plug seems flimsy and badly designed. I plan to make it work as long as possible anyway. I have it desk mounted for now but I plan to take it on trips when I can. So I will plan to give my opinion at that time for that. So far so good. It took me a few days to get it dialled in to the point where I feel comfortable working with it but it seems good so far.

I returned this laptop because I didn’t need it anymore. But assuming I didn’t need something else I would have kept it just because it’s a great portable computer that’s good at the basic tasks I use it for. Basic office tasks using word processors and such, along with browsing the web, and watching YouTube videos/ my show or movie of the month.

Nice laptop that gets the job done for productivity and video consumption at a reasonable price. Don’t expect gaming to be great on this, it’s obviously not designed for that purpose.

It seems good. I really liked that fingerprint start button but it hasn’t worked last 3 times. So I’m not sure about that. I like the feel of the keys. It’s much lighter than my old 15 inch. I’m learning windows 11. Not so sure about it. But the computer is good.

Would be better if it didn’t have to constantly update when I turn it on. I got it a couple days ago & literally every time I use it it needs to update or something. Annoying. It is small and easy to carry around tho so that’s a plus, just wish I can use it.

So far this computer is serving me well. I wish it had a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader, but I was aware it wasn’t included. If I were to complain about anything, it would be the weight. It is very heavy!

Took some time to program, but seems to do what they say. Not as fast as I would like, needless to say I’m gonna return, and I truly hate to say,I don’t think I’ll be getting another ASUS laptop. Too dang slow

I liked the keyboard & the picture quality is awesome. I’m got it in hopes of finding a part time work at home job. Lightweight and very sleek looking. Screen blinks off & on when booted up but shutting it down and powering back up seems to stop that

I have been looking for a small laptop for use when I am in the field for business or traveling- small enough to fit in my purse, big enough for using all the program for real estate business, but not too expensive (I won’t feel too bad if I lose it out about.). This one is perfect. I have been carrying it around almost 2 weeks and wrote a few urgent contract in the field. It is fairly reliable. I did run into a problem-the charger was not too easy to plug in, I called the seller, I got a new one within a few days, which works perfect. The touch screen works perfect when I use this one as a tool to watch some video for fun. However, there is small bubble on the top left side. I decided to let it go since it is not shown when the screen is lit up.

This laptop is surprisingly good. I really enjoy using it. 6-8 hour battery life and an amazing screen. It handles music production and light gaming really well. I prefer this over my 500$ pc setup. 180 degree hinge, don’t know when I will use that feature but it is nifty. Perfect for students or light gamers. Perfect for retro gaming and emulator gaming.

The original Asus I purchased I had to return. It was slow, the screen resolution poor so I was hesitant to purchase Asus again, but the price was excellent thanks to Amazon Prime Days. I just received it and it is PERFECT for me. I’m not a gamer, or into heavy graphics. It can lag a bit when I have a lot of applications open, but it is much faster than my old laptop. If you need a basic laptop that has great screen size and resolution, a numbers pad, and a decently fast processor this Asus is for you. Great for college.

This is a very nice budget laptop. I bought it as a secondary laptop to use in conjunction with a primary ‘workhorse’ laptop and it excels at that role. It is flexible, reliable, and with good battery life usually lasting to about 5h 15 min per charge. I hoped for a bit more battery life at 1080p, but its still nice. The screen covers a majority of the upper plate and is very nice to not have excessive borders on all sides. It can open 360° and works well in conjunction with a stylus as a writing tablet. My only gripes are that it can be a bit slowed when attempting to have many tabs open (~10) or during high usage and there is occasional but minor lag while loading or processing but its not terrible, and sometimes the touchpad doesn’t seem to register taps, but always responds to clicks.

I needed a workhorse computer for working on documents, paying bills, emails, social media, etc. No gaming or engineering software or anything crazy like that. This computer was at a good price point and had good reviews, so I bought. It came yesterday, I spent a few hours getting it all set up. I love the 1 TB storage. Microsoft “S Mode” was new to me, once I learned I couldn’t use Adobe, Chrome or Google Earth with it, that was a no-go for me, so I switched out of it. Switching was not hard to do. I installed my favorite softwares and they all work fine. Speed is fine, even for large file transfers. It came with 1 month free of MS Office, then it’s $99.99 per year after that (ugh but I will pay it cause they have you in a corner on this one). The screen is larger than I anticipated. The default screen resolution was way too small for me. I had to do some adjusting to get the super tiny print a little larger. I was able to connect to a bluetooth printer and my home network with no issues. I still haven’t lost connectivity a day later. The keyboard is not backlit (doesn’t bother me), there is a number pad on the right-hand side (nice to have). The power button is a keyboard key, up above the backspace…thought that was weird but hasn’t been an issue once I found it. My last comment…because of how big the screen is, this won’t fit in my old laptop bag, so I’ll have to buy a new bag – I didn’t factor that in to my purchase price, wish I could have anticipated that. Otherwise, a great buy and has met all my expectations.

Updated 2022/08/30: Checked with support, I was told that the M.2 slot 0 is both NVMe and SATA and the M.2 slot 1 is only SATA. I took a disk copy from the original M.2 slot STAT drive to a new NVMe drive. It would not recognize the drive and BIOS show no NVMe device. While the NVMe boots up in my Dell Precision 7510 no problem. Took a star away, I wish I could have got it working but it just seemed that the PCIe could not read the drive nor can it be set as a boot device (if it can’t see it, it can’t boot).Updated 2022/08/27: I was unable to active the Windows 11 (just want to clarify the issue of the Windows unable to activate, the per-build product code depends on the country that you are in to activate. If you were shipped an pre-build image that is not in your country then it would not activate. Just contact support with the invoice, serial number and country, they will send you a valid activation key for your country.), contacted support, they responded within 24 hours and resolved the issue in 48 hours, consider that they are in China, it is very fast. Much faster than some of the US companies that I contacted in the last 6 months. It is not the fastest laptop, it is a great value for travel or girls who does not play 3D games. The good: laptop is beautiful good qualify for what you pay. Screen is very nice while everyone had gone to the wide screen, it retained the more traditional screen ratio. The scree is pretty, no doubt. The bad: it is actually decent speed but very slow when running Windows Update. Biggest Problem: I cannot activate the Windows 11 Home that it was preinstalled. I have just contact the support and let’s see if they can correct the issue. I am not going to spend another $130 for something that should be included. Stay Tuned… Resolved.

Usually when you get a laptop for this price you expect the laptop to be a little on the slower side especially since most laptops today have 16 GB of memory. This laptop comes with 8 GB of memory soldered in and the laptop will accept another 8 GB of memory which is on order. This is surprisingly fast for only 8 gigs of memory. I had no issues with downloads, apps watching movies or downloading about 250 gb of data from my one drive. The laptop boots up in about 20 seconds. Really does not need anything else for my use. Might not be enough for gaming but should be kind of decent. My one big complaint about this laptop is the touch panel and keyboard is off center, they did this to put in a number pad which is nice feature. The problem is that on the touch pad while I am trying to click on the item, I keep on right clicking on the item. Also, when I put my hands on the keyboard, I sometimes am off by one position and have to reset my hand. I am sure I will overcome the keyboard but the touchpad I am having a hard time with. So, besides the 8GB of memory ordered I ordered a 1 TB SSD drive. I hate one drive I am old schooled I love having items on my computer and being fast. One drive is very clunky but is very usefull for not loosing data when the hard drive goes or for this instance when I got a new computer. It was painless to transfer everything over. For wifi connectivity the router is upstairs and I am in the room directly below and getting speeds of 400 MBPS which is really fast. Sitting next to the router I have hit average speed of 639 download and peak of just over 700 using Speedtest. My MacBook is not even doing that. The laptop is really light and feels just a touch flimsy there is almost no flex in the base part and screen does not flex opening and closing. If you grab both ends of the top of the screen you can get it to flex. Not a deal breaker at this price point and I really love the laptop. I have had a Dell and also an HP laptop at this price point in the past and was alway disappointed and by upgrading was happy. This one many years later which should be costing several hundred dollars more due to inflation but got at the same price as both of them ($500) is quite the bargain. I did not get to test other laptops at this price point but I know this is quite a deal. You will not be disappointed and even though I ordered more memory and a bigger SSD the laptop is pretty good just the way it is. I will upgrade to see if I see any more improvements in speed with the RAM. It never hurts to have more. Bonus this has Windows 11 Pro.

Box dirty, scuffed, old packing slip envelope attached. Sticky areas where labels have been removed. Looks like a return shipped in another box. Typical Amazon. Expected more for $700. Laptop seems to work okay. Kind of all clunky plastic. Checked warranty status and found only four months remaining, set up warranty expired several months ago. Returning.

*UPDATED* Decided to keep the laptop after giving it another shot. Still some annoyances, but I’m getting used to them.Pros – Pretty fast. Good color on screen. Decent charged battery life. Backlit keyboard (which was a must for me). Full-ish sized keyboard on a small laptop. Thin sized/light weight. Also, when I posted a question on this page, a Chuwi Rep answered very quickly.Cons – Keyboard keys feel cheap. Charger port is so close to USB Type C mouse port that I can’t charge and use Type C adapter at the same time (this is a pretty big complaint from me). A lot of the “action” keys are sluggish/slow (backspace, delete, arrow keys).Jury Still Out – Backlit keyboard doesn’t stay “on.” (I’m going to check settings to see if there’s some kind of time I can change). Power Key should be somewhere else (just my preference). It’s easy to click on if you’re not used to the set up and are trying to “backspace” which leads to accidentally hitting the power button & making the screen go dark.

Power Key should be somewhere else (just my preference). It’s easy to click on if you’re not used to the set up and are trying to “backspace” which leads to accidentally hitting the power button & making the screen go dark.

I’ve only had my HP for a month or too so haven’t attempted to do much. I bought it to develop power point presentations. It’s very similar to the HP I used before I retired… except better! Touch pad is very nice & screen picture is beautiful… Love the finger print ID to unlock it… one less password to remember.

I bought this for my son to play his games. It works great, and has plenty of storage. And the price was good.

I haven’t see any real reviews for this laptop so I’ll go ahead and give my overall impressions of it so far. For what you’re paying, the specs are pretty decent but don’t expect to be able to play high end games on this but for everything else. you should be perfectly fine. I have yet to experience any lags or stutters but I’m also not doing a whole lot on here either. The screen looks good even in bright light and the boot time when turning it on is pretty quick. I like the keyboard. It’s not too mushy and it’s not too hard either. Perfectly balanced so it’s responsive and does exactly what it’s supposed to without feeling as if you’re putting too much pressure on the keys. The track pad is huge and easy to use which makes the whole experience on the laptop less frustrating. The downside here are the speakers. They’re not terrible, but they’re not good either and using headphones with this is a bit of a bummer becasuse they’re too low, but it may also be my headphones too. Aside from the speakers. I have no complaints here. The battery lasts about nine hours depending on what you’re doing and there’s even a battery saver modes so you get more out of it. I also like the way this thing looks. All metal body that looks like you paid a great more for it than you really did which is nice at this price. You would expect a hunk of plastic but not the case here. It does attract a lot of finger prints but it’s not a deal breaker. The screen size is another great selling point and looks great. If you’re using this for movies you’re going to be fine just make sure you use better speakers. So, should you buy this? You know what your needs are and what you’re going to use the laptop for so if you’re a gamer, odds are this won’t work for you but for me and my needs it’s perfect for me and it is expandable so if you need more memory there’s that option. So far I’ve been impressed by this thing and have no real complaints aside from the speakers. For the price, you’re getting a decent laptop with pretty decent specs. I wanted something affordable and this was too hard to pass up and I’m pleased with what it does.

Not bad. I was looking for a good cheap 2 in 1 and I found it. I never heard ogBmax, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised.I wish it were larger, but that said the size isn’t too bad. The scrren is responsive, the spees is good. It comes with awindows 10 pro instead of home, which is good.It is very light weight, but has a metal body which is cool.A couple if cons. The microsd card reader is problematic. Ive actually had to replace the device once because it ate the card. It lodged in a way that wasnt retrievable. When I got the replacement I was very careful and have no intent of ever removingbit. The speakers suck, but it connects to a bluetooth speaker well. Also when you use it as a tablet the keyboard doesnt shut off. So if its resting in your hand the keys get pressed and if the curser is in an input field it will type which is stupid. It should have a switch or something. All in all Im glad I bought it. Also the OS is full windows not the tablet “S” version. You can download and use programs not just apps. I made sure of that. Also remember to get the usb adapers. This doesnt have standard usb
